And finally, 9 months later, we went to the meeting with Alex Gavaghan and the Boss Jockeys. A band formed in Liverpool whose eclectic sounds distill…. Rock, Blues, Punk, New Wave … They were the first band I saw live when I arrived in Liverpool and their noble, authentic and enraged sounds immediately caught my attention.
Names like Sex Pistols or Elvis Costello are part of their sonorous imagination.
They define the Motown label as «The Sound», they love the Beatles and the Merseyside capital which is for them the best city in the UK to unleash their musical passion
They have the EP La, La, La Lucy (2016), Binman of Love (2015) and Wool Behaviour, providing the title of their latest album, an album that could only have been created on the banks of the Mersey.
We can find their songs in places with solera as The Caledonia and some others …
With stunning views of the cathedral and the River Mersey, we do this interview with Alex, a fully-formed, sentimental and resounding artist who opens us the doors of his home and music… Here is the interview.
Alex Gavaghan – guitar / vocals
Mark Percy – drums
Steven Rawlinson – bass
